August 31st, 2007 by admin

He’s just had smash hit with Chak De India and now the Badshah of Bollywood will be returning in a couple of weeks time and this time with a home production.

NDTV has an exclusive look at Farah and Shahrukh Khan’s Om Shanti Om.

Om Shanti Om, Farah Khan’s second film as director after the superhit Main Hoon Na is a tribute to Farah’s favourite decade, The 70’s.

It’s a love story between Shah Rukh Khan, who plays a struggling actor and a former model Deepika Padukone. But it’s not a run of the mill story.

“It’s a strange love story in the sense that it’s not a conventional love story not boy meets girl and the girl loves the boy without giving away too much. It’s very unusual I would say it’s half a love story and then it goes to another space,” said Farah Khan, Director. Read the rest of this entry »

August 31st, 2007 by admin

By Subhash K Jha

Vidya is just back from shooting Sajid Khan’s Hey Baby in Australia. And she can’t stop giggling. “Akshay, and the two Sajids—Khan and Nadiadwala—are a ball. All three share a great equation.

Sajid Khan and I have been buddies for years. Everyone from the ADs to the stars were one group of mad hatters. Fun was the main issue in Australia. Work just kept happening.

The fun quotient only gets better. First Parineeta, then Salaam-e-Ishq now Hey Baby and Bhool Bhulaiya with Praiyadarshan was also loads of fun.”

For Bhool Bhulaiya Vidya had to do some serious heart-in-the-mouth classical dancing. “As a child I learnt some Bharat Natyam. Then I did pursue Kathak for a couple of months some years ago. That’s it. But I had to do one elaborate classical dance. And I was so scared. Read the rest of this entry »

CHAK DE! INDIA for football, courtesy John?

August 31st, 2007 by admin

Much to the delight of the nation, the Indian football team has done a CHAK DE! INDIA by winning the Nehru Cup for the first time. It is the first big triumph for the team after decades of disappointment.

In a bid to keep the show going, the media has this story about a football based film, very much in the CHAK DE! INDIA mould, featuring John Abraham, to be made by the A.I.F.F. (All India Football Federation).

However, when John was contacted he was unaware about any such film. He did add that perhaps the talks are about DHAN DHANA DHAN GOAL, a football centric movie that he intends to show to the A.I.F.A. president, Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi.

While on John, though his mobile welcomes one with a 1000 cc mobike tone, he absolutely loves football and is a keen and avid watcher of the game.
