There is more to Om Shanti Om than the six-pack abs of superstar Shah Rukh Khan .
Eros International announced the forthcoming worldwide release of one of the biggest anticipated blockbusters this year, ‘Om Shanti Om’, produced by SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment and directed by Farah Khan on 9th November 2007. Eros is expected to release the film across an unprecedented 2000 plus screens worldwide.
‘Om Shanti Om’ stars SRK and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles. The magic combination of SRK - Farah Khan comes together again after the huge success of Main Hoon Na . The film’s score and soundtrack has been composed by the musical duo, Vishal-Shekhar with lyrics by Javed Akhtar .
Cinematography for the movie is by V. Manikandan whilst editing is handled by Farah’s husband Shirish Kunder .
‘Om Shanti Om’ is a story of love, dreams, betrayal and destiny revolving around a film actor ‘Om’ (SRK) and his love interest ‘Shanti’ (Deepika). Om was a junior artist and Shanti a superstar in the 1970’s. He was her biggest fan. She was his biggest inspiration.
The film has over 30 of Bollywood’s hottest stars including Salman Khan , Rani Mukherjee , Kajol , Sanjay Dutt , Priyanka Chopra , Preity Zinta , Saif Ali Khan and many more putting in a guest appearance.
Commenting on the deal, Kishore Lulla, Chairman and CEO, Eros International said, “Eros has always enjoyed a fantastic relationship with Shah Rukh Khan and we are looking forward to releasing ‘Om Shanti Om’ during the festive season of Diwali. Eros had distributed ‘Main Hoon Na’ as well as Paheli , which are both Red Chillies Productions.

If you thought that all was hunky dory during the shooting of ‘Om Shanti Om’, then there is a bad news and good news.
The bad news is that Farah Khan and Shahrukh Khan got into a terrible fight during the shooting on the film’s sets. The good news is that this was strictly for the camera!
