Washington, Aug 18: The latest gossip doing the rounds is that Bollywood actress Preity Zinta is set to tie the knot with Ness Wadia, the great grandson of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan.
The award winning actress started dating Ness, son of Bombay Dyeing owners Nusli and Maureen Wadia, in February 2005, reports the Daily Times.
The couple’s relationship went through a bad patch earlier this year after singer Suchitra Krishnamurthy blamed Preity for her divorce with Shekhar Kapur.
Krishnamurthy alleged that the actress was having an affair with her director husband.
The news of the wedding has come after several reports of cold vibes between Zinta and Wadia’s mother Maureen had been circulated by the media.

Preity Zinta is not too pleased about the news of her going to see Chak De India in a burqa.
“I guess the paper found out from the theatre. I had to go and see Chak De with a live audience because I wanted to gauge their response. It is a very different kind of film from Yashraj. And just the sort of cinema that takes us ahead.” What remains unsaid is the fact that anyone who wants to see a Yashraj film has no choice but to troop down to a theatre because Yashraj don’t hold premieres.
Exults Preity, “I’m so taken up by Chak De. It’s a film that makes you proud to be a part of Indian cinema. And I think Shah Rukh is awesome. What a performance.”
Another current favourite is Rituprano Ghosh. “With his head shaved Ritu-da looks so cute. I simply loved doing Last Lear with him. ” Preity will be joining Ritu to leave for the Toronto Film Festival in September.

Film: “Jhoom Barabar Jhoom”
Cast: Abhishek Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Bobby Deol, Lara Dutta
Director: Shaad Ali
Rating: *
Everybody in “Jhoom Baraabar Jhoom” (JBJ), including the director, is an impossible imposter.
Abhishek Bachchan poses as a small-town guy in love with a very poised and sexy Pakistani-French mademoiselle from Paris. Preity Zinta poses as a modern-day Cinderella with a very posh British-Indian fiancée. Bobby Deol, a nerd-optician poses as a cyber-Superman.
Lara Dutta, god bless her luscious presence, is a tart masquerading as a prima donna.
Director Shaad Ali poses as an auteur with the wickedly audacious sense of humour of a comic-book aficionado. While the audience, not to be left behind, is supposed to pretend that they find the bizarre goings-on hilarious.
But sorry, this is Bunty without bubbly. The joke, if any, is on the creator of this musical travesty where the four main characters behave as though they are so impressed with themselves and their humorous circumstances that they would rather not have the audience along for the joyride, thank you.
