Mumbai: Actor Zayed Khan’s last film Cash didn’t set the box office on fire but looks like the actor is making moolah anyway.

He has been signed on to be the brand ambassador of a liquor brand and unlike many others, Zayed seems to be following in Shah Rukh Khan’s footsteps as far as the endorsement is concerned. (Shah Rukh drank himself silly to play the lead role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas)

“You know what, you should have asked me this question before I signed for the ad. Of course, I indulge in some drinking and I am moderate drinker,” the actor says.

If you are wondering how this moderate drinking started, then the actor has this to say. “I am a bit embarrassed to tell everyone right now. But the first time what I did was I stole a drink from my dad’s bar when party was happening and I was 15. That was one of those occasions when I got terribly fired and was caught red handed. I went up to my dada and was looking at him. He asked me, ‘So are you drunk?’. I said, ‘no’ and fell down,” he says.

Hopefully, with this endorsement in his kitty, Zayed can now return the favour to his dad again.
